How Top Horses Works
Top Horses is a Solana devnet racing game where crypto tokens run against each other. You pick whether a token finishes first or last, then the platform settles the result from oracle prices.
The simple version
Every round, four token horses line up: SOL, BTC, ETH, and PENGU. During betting, you choose a horse and a side. Once betting closes, the race locks in start prices, runs for 45 seconds, then checks the finish prices.
If your pick matches the final result, your ticket wins. The payout is fixed at 2x the stake after the 5% platform fee. If your pick misses, you can still claim 50% of that post-fee stake back from My Trades.
What you can do
- Play the live race from /race.
- Provide backing liquidity from /pool.
- Track top players from /leaderboard.
- View your own wallet stats from /profile.
Four steps, one ticket.
Pick a horse
Choose one of the four token horses: SOL, BTC, ETH, or PENGU.
Choose WIN or WORST
WIN means your horse finishes first by percentage gain. WORST means it finishes last.
Watch the race
The chart animates live while the platform locks start and finish prices from oracles.
Settle and claim
If your ticket is right, claim 2x the post-fee stake. If it misses, claim 50% of the post-fee stake back as cashback.
WIN vs WORST
A WIN ticket is a bet that your horse finishes first. A WORST ticket is a bet that your horse finishes last. Both use the same race and the same oracle-settled price movement, but they reward opposite views of the market.
Why there is a pool
Winning tickets need backing. The shared pool supplies that backing, while the unrefunded side of losing tickets helps refill the pool after settlement. Liquidity providers can deposit or withdraw from the pool dashboard.
Fairness and settlement
Start price
When betting closes and racing begins, the platform records each horse's oracle price.
Finish price
At the end of the race, the platform checks the latest valid oracle price again.
Percentage move
Results are ranked by percentage change, so large and small tokens compete on equal footing.
Current status
- Top Horses is currently a devnet product.
- The app is for testing, demos, and product feedback.
- The program is not audited and should not be treated as production finance.
- Wallets need devnet SOL and devnet USDC to play.
Frequently asked questions
Is this real money?
This build runs on Solana devnet. It uses devnet USDC and is not production or audited.
What decides the winner?
The horse with the highest percentage price gain during the race is the WIN result. The horse with the lowest percentage move is the WORST result.
Can I place multiple tickets?
A wallet can place one platform ticket per race window. That keeps each race position simple and easy to read.
What is the pool?
The pool backs winning payouts. After losing tickets pay the platform fee and reserve 50% of the post-fee stake as cashback, the remaining net loss can refill the pool.
Pick a side and run it.
The fastest way to understand Top Horses is to watch one full window: betting, racing, settlement, then claim.
